Janine Alysa Flores Arecco began singing classical music and touring
Europe with the Glen Ellyn Children's Chorus at age 10. At age 18, Janine
joined the Grant Park Symphony Chorus in Chicago as one of the youngest
members. Her music instruction started at age four with piano for 12 years,
violin, and trumpet for four years. Private voice lessons began at age
12 and continued for 16 years. Now Janine coaches select students in her
home, on occasion.
Music genres include rock, pop, classical, and jazz. Present and former
bands include: Confetti (pop/rock/jazz) - 6 years; Souled Out/Sound Barrier
- 6 years (original rock); Steve Richards Superstar Tributes band (pop/rock)
- 2 years; Inasense Yesterday (original pop/rock) - 2 years; Lovebite
Orchestra (70's pop/rock) - 1 year; and Janine Alysa Quartet (jazz) -
1 year.
Janine has also performed substitute roles for the Alan Kaye Orchestra
(pop/rock/jazz), Spirit of Chicago Cruise Ship band (pop/rock/jazz), and
the Big Fun Band (pop/rock/jazz) - sub.
The studio is no stranger to Janine. She has spent much time recording
original and cover songs, as well as voiceovers, for various projects.
Currently she is working on a CD of kids songs with her 5 year old daughter
and some fellow studio musicians.
Janine is very happy to have recently rejoined Confetti full-time, as
the match of talent and camaraderie is very difficult to find.
