You may also e-mail us, or call Gary at (847) 934-6352. |

5. Why should I hire a band instead of a DJ? Aren't DJs cheaper?
|
| While not always the case, it is usually true that bands are slightly more expensive than DJs. However, we are very competitive with DJs on pricing. As with most things in life you get what you pay for, and it usually worth the small additional cost to pay for a true quality product. Remember this: |
| There is no substitute for top quality musicians performing great live music! |
| No studio recording played by a DJ over a sound system will ever be able to match the interaction, energy, excitement and feel of a real group of good musicians playing great live music! If you have wondered why parties with a live band are always more successful than those with a DJ when playing the same tunes, the reason is energy, emotion, spontaneity and audience interaction. |

6. Will the musicians I hire from your web site be the same ones who perform at my party?
|
| Unlike many agency bands which are assembled from a pool of available "jobbing" musicians that simply arrive at a job and read music from prearranged charts, Confetti is a comprised of six permanent singer/musicians. This means that the same six individuals whose pictures you see on our site will appear at all of our performances. This insures you that Confetti will always sound “tight” and well-rehearsed. Confetti's band members are all dedicated musicians that have many years of musical experience in this market. They are all talented, reliable, dedicated to providing the best in musical entertainment, and share a joy in performing live music. |

7. What happens if one of the band members gets sick?
|
| All of the members of Confetti are very dedicated musicians. It is extremely rare that a band member is unable to play due to illness or special circumstances. All of us have played, despite being ill on a number of occasions. In the event that one of Confetti's permanent members is unable to perform due to illness or some unusual circumstance, we use a very small number of reliable and professional musicians/singers as substitutes. Every substitute musician we use is equal in quality to the original band member. The substitutes we employ are normally musicians or singers that have played with us a number of times in the past that are familiar with our repertoire and arrangements. Several of these substitutes have been former members of Confetti. This insures that Confetti's sound remains unchanged, and assures you of the quality entertainment you expect. In the few rare instances when this has occurred, customers were usually totally unaware that there had been any change at all. |

8. How long do you normally play and how do you handle breaks?
|
| The length of our performance is at your discretion. A normal job consists of three 45-minute sets of music with two 15-minute breaks, one between each set of music. We normally play CD music during our breaks to provide continuous music throughout the evening, if that is your wish. We attempt to have our breaks coincide with the service of the various courses. If your event involves any unusual or special activities, we are flexible and try to schedule our breaks around those special events. |

We perform primarily for weddings, anniversaries, corporate parties and dances, benefit events, and outdoor festivals. We have performed at the most of the major hotels, banquet halls and country clubs in the greater Chicago area. Click here to see many of the places we have played. |

11. When
does the band set up?
|
| We typically arrive about an hour and a 1/2 prior to the start of your event. This normally gives us enough time to complete the setup and sound checks prior to your guests arriving. If you require us to be at your event earlier than this, there will be an extra charge for the time involved. |

12. Can
your sound system be used for announcements and toasts?
|
| Most definitely. In fact, we would be happy to help with the announcements and emceeing if you need us to. Please let us know this at the time of booking, if possible. Also, we will need a list of names to be announced along with phonetic spellings or pronunciations of any hard-to-pronounce names prior to the day of your event. |

13. Does
Confetti have a demo of their music?
|
| Yes, we have a demo either on cassette tape or CD. To request one, simply check the appropriate radio button on our "ContactUs/Bookings" page. Although, we find as our material gets updated, the music demo may not provide the most current presentation of Confetti and our music. In addition to the music demo, we would like to have you visit a live performance, or arrange a special live personal audition. |

15. Our
guest list includes an extremely wide range of ages. Can Confetti play
all types of music?
|
| Since we are an "all occasion" band, we don't specialize in any particular style of music. Our typical audience varies greatly in both age and tastes. So we play almost every style of music imaginable. Having the right music is essential for the success and enjoyment of you and your guests at your special event. Confetti's versatility allows us to perform a vast array of songs, spanning all musical styles including Standards, Swing, Country, Oldies, Ballads, Classic Rock & Roll, Motown, Soul, Funk and selected Top 40. Our music selections are chosen to provide as much dancing opportunity as possible. Our many years of experience in this market allows us to tailor our music to each audience's particular wishes. We pride ourselves on being able to read an audience and make on-the-spot changes to our song list based on crowd preferences. This allows us to create a unique repertoire tailored to each party's audience. Our song list is constantly being updated as we regularly learn great songs, both old and new. |

16. Will your music sound like the original songs?
|
| We work extremely hard to reproduce the sound of the original recordings as closely as we can. We attempt to play each style of music the way it was meant to be played. This means playing songs the audience knows in a manner as true to the original song as possible. We believe strongly in doing a song properly. If we can't do a really good job of reproducing a song, we would rather not do it at all. We take pride in our music, and want to sound as good as possible for our clients. Many of our clients and their guests have commented on how well we perform such a wide variety of styles, and that when they listen to us perform, they feel like they are listening to the original artists. |

17. Will the band perform at a comfortable volume
for our guests?
|
| One of the main concerns of many clients is the band’s volume. They want music performed at a volume that will not offend their guests and their ability to enjoy the party. It is Confetti's promise to perform at a volume that is comfortable for our audience. Unlike DJs, most of whom play music at levels loud enough to damage your ears, Confetti strives to perform music at a volume that allows guests to easily maintain normal conversations. It is hard to please everyone on this issue, and from our perspective on stage, it is sometimes hard to determine how loud we sound to audience members at different locations in a large hall. If you ever feel that we are too loud, please speak to one of the band members, and we will reduce our volume level to meet your needs immediately. |

18. Can Confetti learn
a special song for me?
|
| If you have a special song that is not on our song list, let us know. Confetti will learn it, provided you give us at least four weeks notice, a cassette or CD of your song, and sheet music, if it is available. We will perform your song with the quality that you would expect from the original artists. Our band features 3 lead vocalists which allows us to authentically cover an extremely wide range of musical styles. |

19. What
kind of music will be played during dinner?
|
